PROVIDUS is a non-partisan, non-profit civil society organisation and a leading public policy think tank in Latvia. Our mission is to promote evidence-based policy and open society values. Our areas of expertise include good governance, asylum and migration, and EU policy, while citizen participation and the EU dimension are streamlined across our activities. PROVIDUS has been at the forefront of using deliberative methods of citizen engagement since 2002. We publish research and policy analysis, lead innovative projects to implement new approaches to policy problems, and monitor and evaluate the implementation of policies. We promote participation in the policy-making process by organising public events, organising and taking part in consultations with a variety of stakeholders, and actively using contemporary communication techniques. PROVIDUS is a member of various national and European-level research and policy analysis networks.
